Got tired of crocheting Afghans and Bedspread Spreads. My Son said, go on YouTube, they have how to's. I found you, you intimidated me at first, then I jumped in. Now I make Cover-ups, Hats, Scarves, and Bags/ purses. I always look forward to a new Tutorial. Until a new one comes out, I have done some of your earlier work. Thank you Clare, and my Son !!!!

I learned from my mother and had not picked up a hook in 30 years. My niece came home with a hook and yarn from art class saying she chose it as her winter break project....found you on you tube after looking for a simple way to teach her....have not stopped making items since then. Thank you!
Is my new therapy when I am depress or anxious.

Oh, Clare! I found you quite by accident on You Tube, of course. When I heard you say "crow-sha" I was "hooked"... My husband and I have been in love with you ever since. Whenever he hears me taking a lesson from one of your tutorials, he comes in to listen. Love you, girlfriend

My mother and great-grandmother attempted to teach me how to crochet when I was a child - being left-handed they tried to teach me by "mirroring" them - it didn't work!
As I grew up, I discovered I was sorta ambidextrous - the only thing I do left handed is write - everything else was right handed O_0. By that time great-gramma was gone and mom didn't have time to teach me, I tried teaching myself, but I could never figure out the written instructions.
Fast forward to last winter, just after my 54th Birthday I found box of granny triangles my mom had crochet before she died (25 years ago). I wanted to put the afghan together, but didn't know how to start so I searched YouTube for how to's on joining Granny Squares and found your channel.
I saw a tutorial for a beanie and made one - then another, and another and another! Then came Scarves, "scoodies", headbands, handwarmers, bags etc, etc, etc!
Now I am trying amigrumi - it's a little harder working with the smaller hooks, but they are so cute.

Thank you Clare, for getting me "hooked" on crochet!

I had seen your posts on different groups on facebook but it wasn't until you started asking for testers on the yarn stash buster group that I tried any of them. Now I love that if I can't work something out you usually have a tutorial for it. Thanks Clare

You are my "go to" resource for crochet. Knitting was NOT working for me too well and I had an "Aha" moment and remembered crochet. How to start? Over to YouTube and there you were, calm, easy going and with a lovely Australian accent to listen to. I totally enjoy your videos. Keep it up!

I wrecked my ankle last fall. It hasn't been healing very well and I was looking for something to do while elevating it. I found you the first time on YouTube and then again on Ravelry where I have you favourites so I know when you post new patterns. I am very left handed and hadn't crocheted before my injury. I watched a couple of left handed tutorials to get the basics and then started following along with you. I made both my kids the hidden seam beanies to wear when we were camping in early June (it's still pretty cool here in Canada at night then) and they love them! I have to admit I was pretty proud of myself for making them too! I started to make myself the mesh toque, but got sidetracked by a ripple blanket. I should get back to that hat though...

HELLO CLARE!
I just wanted to say that I found you on You Tube one day & I have been "hooked" ever since! You are more than amazing to me! I went through quite a few videos & and always end up back to you! I am appreciative of the website you made so I could keep up with you and follow you and continue to learn from you. My favorite thing about your videos are you take step by step SLOWLY and sometimes go over it again to make sure we got it.(lol) I am 36 yrs old from Ohio and a mother of 3. I am a beginner and since I have found you and your AWESOME videos I have made a baby blanket, 2 different bags and now I am just putting the last finishing touch on my triple crochet bag that you had a video of with the multi color bag. I love it and cannot thank you enough for your beautiful sessions!!!! Keep Rocking on!!!

I am so thankful I have been following you on YouTube for a few years now. I appreciate you. My grandmother had taught me a little bit when I was younger and the more I crochet the more it comes back to memory. She passed in 1999 so I turned to YouTube for help and found you Clare. Your the best. I got books from the library also but you have taught me more. Thank You. I don't comment often but I feel like we are friends cause I watch you on YouTube all the time. I am a mom of 5kids and mom of five dogs lol. I dont have much time but I love to crochet so much I make time. I love all your patterns. Thanks again and Congrats on your new website I look forward to seeing it grow.

I am a self taught crocheter who enjoys trying out new patterns. Although I have been crocheting for many years, I am not at the Advanced stage at all. I found you via Google while searching for patterns that I could understand, follow and complete. I also crochet for charities. I was thrilled to recently find the Granny Square Stitch Baby Poncho pattern on your site. It is so easy and works up very quickly! I just finished my 2nd poncho in pink/white and plan to make several more to donate to a local organization accepting items for babies. So glad google led me to you! :)
