Hello and happy crochet to you! Three weeks ago, I booked my ticket for the Australian Yarn Show, where everything related to yarn will be on display and purchase I thought to myself, "I want to crochet myself a skirt. Can I do it in three weeks?" Well, there was only one way to find out. I gathered my leftover yarn and hook and started on an idea that had been in my head for months. I do have a confession: I had to buy one more of the copper colour because I only had a tiny bit left and wanted it to go through my skirt. I also tried to buy the blue, but I ordered the wrong colour... Rolls eyes. I crocheted and filmed it like a crazy lady, and with a week to go, I edited the tutorial and wrote the written pattern. It was fun and good for me to have a deadline, so I didn't get distracted and started 3 other projects HAHA, I know you can totally relate :) Add your project to Ravelry https://ravel.me/skirt-40

Are cheaper crochet tools always better? Please let me know what your thoughts are.
When it comes to crochet tools, cheaper options aren't always better. While budget-friendly tools can be a great way to save money, there are several factors to consider: Quality and Durability Often, higher-priced tools are made from better materials, which can result in greater durability and comfort during use. Cheaper tools might wear down quickly or break easily. Comfort Ergonomics play a significant role in your crochet experience. More expensive tools often have designs that are easier on the hands and wrists, which can be important for longer projects. Precision Higher-quality hooks and needles can offer better precision and smoother finishes, making stitches easier to create and preventing yarn from snagging. Variety Sometimes, investing in a quality set can provide you with a wider range of sizes and types to choose from, allowing for greater versatility in your projects. Personal Preference Ultimately, the best tool often comes down to personal preference. Some people might find that they enjoy using a cheaper tool just as much as a more expensive one. In conclusion, while it's possible to find good quality crochet tools at lower prices, it's important to evaluate them based on your needs, comfort level, and how often you plan to crochet. It might be worth investing in a few high-quality pieces that will last longer and enhance your crafting experience. |
