US terminology
Worsted weight yarn and a 6mm / J hook
OR 8ply/DK yarn and 4.5 mm hook
Scissors and yarn needle

​Note: Change colour as you desire – to change colour, do so at the end of the row in the last part of dc
Notes

• If you start a row with a chain 3 you will end the row with 1 dc
• If you start the row with 3 stitches you will end the row with 3 stitches
• If you end a row with 1 stitch, at the beginning of the next row you will start with 3 stitches
• If you end a row with 3 stitches, at the beginning of the next row you will start with 1 stitch

 
Colours for the pink/purple/yellow/green blanket are listed at the end of the pattern

Make a multiple of 3 chains
​1 - 3 dc into the 6th ch from hook, *skip 2, 3dc into next ch* repeat from * to * across to last 3 ch, 1 dc into last ch, turn

2 - Ch 3, 2dc into first space (right next to the ch3) *3 dc into next space* repeat from * to * across, 3 dc into last space (ch 5 from previous row) turn

3 - Ch 3 *3dc into next space* repeat from * to * across, 1 dc into last stitch (top of the ch 3 from previous row) turn 

4 - Repeat rows 2 and 3 (ending with row 3) for as many rows as you desire

​Edging
NOTES:

• If you find that the ch 2 on the straight edge is too tight you can change to chain 3
• The edging is worked into the spaces

With right side of your work facing you
Join yarn into top right hand space 

1 - (Sc, ch 3, sc) into same space, ch 2 Working along top edge
*sc into next space (not stitch), ch 2* repeat across, (Sc, ch 3, sc) into corner space ** repeat from * to ** around, join to the first sc
Finish off OR slip stitch to the ch 3 space

2 - Join new colour into ch 3 corner space(ch 3, 2dc, ch 1, 3 dc) into same space *3dc into each ch 2 space (3dc, ch1, 3dc) into ch 3 corner space* repeat from * to * around and join with a slip stitch to the top of the ch 3
 
Repeat rounds 1 and 2 as many times as you like finishing with round 2
