I love this pattern because it is simple yet looks so elegant. It has many possibilities! A wonderful stash buster! Chris Estrada has been super busy and says I live in Iowa with my husband, my kids and 2 cats. We are from the Philippines This is my go to pattern now, I started with scrappy and then went to planned. this is the best and most awesome and fun crochet to do and I love it Where do you live ? Sydney, Australia What accent do you have ? I am English born, but have lived in Australia since 1989 Is your real name Bob? No, my real name is Clare, Bob was our dog we had for 12 awesome years Where did you get your YouTube user name? Bob = my dog Wilson = Volley ball from Cast Away movie with Tom Hanks 123 = Random number If I had of know that when I started uploading videos to YouTube that someone would actually remember my name for crochet, I would have chosen a better name :) When did you learn to crochet? 2001 Is crochet your full time job ? Yes and I love it ! I work 60+ hours each week How do you earn your income ? Each time you watch a video you will see an advert at the beginning - 'The advertisement is how i earn my income DON'T SKIP IT !! If you skip it I don't get paid :) How can I make money from my YouTube channel and make money like you ? People say they want to be like me one day. All it takes is dedication, passion and lots of hard work. Success does not come over night, more like over 4 years hahahha -You need to be dedicated to your job, yes its is my full time job that allows me to work from home. You need to put in many hours of hard work, answer emails and questions and not just upload videos -Passion is very important !!! If you are not passionate and in love with what you do you will not last long and give up easy - Hard work ..... LOTS OF IT - hundreds of emails and questions everyday, self promotion, creating new tutorials, editing and uploading Believe in yourself - For me this took time, I new i was good at crochet, but was i good at teaching others? I knew people were telling me everyday via comments. but "I" had to believe it and it wasn't until someone asked me one day (only 12 months ago) 'what do you do for a job?' I replied 'I teach crochet online'.. I got the weirdest look and then didn't tell anyone for a while hahaha But then I thought , No I do teach people how to crochet and that is my job :) I love it and I want to tell the world about it. So now I hold my head high and I am so proud and LOVE EVERY SECOND of my job Is it really a job if you love it so much ?? If I send you a free/paid pattern can you make a video on it ? I am sorry to disappoint you. I am NOT allowed to make a video tutorial on a free/pay for written pattern without written permission of the designer. It is against copyright laws and YouTube will remove the video. All of the video tutorials that I have on written pattern's, I have FULL WRITTEN PERMISSION to do so Can I sell the items I make from your videos ? YES ! You are more than welcome to sell your creations that you make from my videos HELP ! My brim on my hat is wavy is wavy - Can I fix it ? If your brim is wavy, this is causes by too many stitches. In one of my brim videos (i have 2) it says at the beginning that it may need adjusting. So you have 2 options – Option 1- Cry , Option 2 – On the first row of the brim instead of doing 2 stitches in each stitch, do 2 stitches in every 3rd, for example- Row 1: 1 stitch in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 stitches in the next stitch, 1 stitch in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 stitches in the next stitch. Continue like this across the row. Row 2 : 1 stitch in each stitch across. Row 3: repeat row 1. Row 4: repeat row 2. I hope this helps :) How can I show you my creation ? Facebook or twitter - links are at the top right hand corner :) How do I make my ugly seam on my hat less visible ? I have a great video to help with that ugly seam - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55Vgz8mD1HQ How big do I make the crown of my hat so I know it will fit ? This video has a great method for sizing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55Vgz8mD1HQ How do i know how big to make a hat for different age groups ? You can find a great sorce of information here - http://www.bobwilson123.org/helpful-crochet-charts.html Hope this helps answer your questions and If you can not see the answer to your question you can ask by using the contact us form :) Clare xx |
