Bobwilson123 would not run smoothly if it wasn't for some fantastic ladies. May hours every day go into keeping the bobwilson123 empire running smoothly like a well oiled machine I hope you enjoy meeting my Team and getting to know them a little Clare xx Laura is my saving grace when it comes to bobwilson123. With out Laura I would be drowning in emails and chasing my tail on a daily basis. A few words from Laura ...... I met Clare, bobwilson123, through making crochet videos on YouTube almost 2 years ago. I got to meet her for the first time and chat with her on ooVoo and we became fast friends. I consider her my best friend in the world and we live across the world from each other lol. I have been so blessed to have her as a friend and have grown so much in my video making and crochet and it is all because of her. Along the way of becoming such good friends she has truly helped me grow my online name of The Crochet Zombie. I never thought I would be where I am today, and I know a lot of that is because of Clare. YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com/thecrochetzombie Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/thecrochetzombie Website: www.thecrochetzombie.com Amanda is my organizer, with out Amanda is would be chaos :) A few words from Amanda... In 2001 out of a desire to make being lazy on the couch more productive I decide to teach myself to crochet. I learned from a book how to do the single crochet....I made tons of baby blankets and a few queen sized blankets but that was it...just a blanket...just using sc. One night in May 2011 I couldn't sleep. I don't know what made me think to do it but I youtube'd crochet and you popped up. I though...huh...she makes it easy enough to understand so I did a few of your videos. It took seconds and I was "hooked". I found your FB page and thought it sure would be nice if her page was a "table of contents" for all of her videos so I contacted you and asked u if I could organize your page and add all of your videos to say thank you. I did this for a short while and then you asked me to be an official member of your crochet team. So here I am. Almost 2 years later...still learning from the master and still updating her FB. And am sooooo much better now at my hobby than I was 2 years ago I still amaze myself at what I am capable of doing....all because of one woman...Bob! Website: http://amandabrookecrochet.webs.com/ Olgaa is my Facebook Cheerleader! Olgaa has always got something great to say about the projects shared on the page and is so generous with the time she devotes to helping others.. Olgaa is also a very talented crochet-er and I was so impressed with the first shawl that she created Here is Olgaa's story. In February 2011 my beautiful Mum Elena passed away. It was a very difficult time for me and I was feeling very lost. Some months went by and remembering that Mum was a crocheter, I decided I wanted to make myself a shawl and somehow that would make me feel closer to her. I know Mum taught me but I couldn't remember anything and I asked my sister if I could have Mum's crochet hooks and anything else relating to crochet. Mum was Italian and she had some crochet patterns in Italian. I didn't find a shawl but I also didn't want to take the time to learn about reading patterns. So I figured that there must be something on YouTube. So one night whilst I was "surfing the net" I came across this youtube channel for BobWilson123. I listened to her voice and she was an Aussie! Wow, that was amazing. Her video was so easy to follow and I was very impressed with the way my shawl was coming along. This was in June 2011 and I finished the shawl sometime around August I think, can't remember. But I do remember wanting to let Clare know and show her how it came out. So I emailed her and sent her a photo. She replied saying how amazing it was and couldn't believe it was my first project! I felt very proud and didn't think it was that good but accepted the compliment. So I then joined her Facebook page and saw all the other prolific projects from other crocheters and I would comment on them. One day Clare wrote to me and asked if I'd like to work for her as a team member and continue to do what I was doing, that is making positive comments on her page. I jumped at the chance and have witnessed 100's of similar stories like mine from people who "just happened" to find her crochet video tutorials. I'm still crocheting and still part of her Admin team. Clare is a very patient, loving teacher and has helped 1000's of people find something that has transformed their life. She's the best! Olgaa Fienco Melbourne Australia 2013 Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hook-Art-n-Song Laura is my go to lady when I get stuck on something technical like my website and even a crochet pattern :) Laura is a essential part of the team ! Here is Laura's story .... How I met Clare: I met Clare soon after she started a ccrochet and knitting group in Picton, NSW. My mother was her very first member and encouraged me to join in. Clare and I hit it off right away. When I lost my third child mid-pregnancy and started a NFP making, collecting and distributing tiny blankets and hats for babies born too soon, Clare put the call out for help on her Youtube Channel. Within weeks, we were flooded with wonderful, lovingly made blankets and hats from all over the world. Clare continues collecting these items for the charity that I passed my son's legacy over to when it simply became too sad for me to cope with any more. How Clare has helped me: Clare and I encourage one another. It was Clare who encouraged me to start designing and writing my own crochet patterns. We continue to love, support and encourage one another on our crochet journeys. My story is similar to those above. I was into crocheting about 30 years ago when the children where in school. I stopped when I went out into the job market to work. I am retired now and a few of my friends are into knitting so Saturday mornings we would get together to knit. I started going on you tube for help if I got stuck and couldn't remember how to do a stitch and that's how I found bobwilson123. I love, love, love your patterns and your video tutorials so I started to crochet again. I love the way you teach, you make it so easy. So thank you for reintroducing me to one of my favorite hobbies again. LOVE, LOVE YOU TUBE!!!!
